3. Point cloud only vs scan-to-BIM
Capture and registration might be 30 to 40 percent of a scan-to-BIM project. Modelling labour scales with LOD, number of disciplines, and how much MEP is visible. If your internal team models from cloud, buying scan-only is often the best value.
If you need Revit on deadline, bundled scan-to-BIM with stated LOD avoids handover gaps between surveyor and modeller.
4. Travel and regional work
Brisbane Point Cloud is based in Paddington. Inner Brisbane travel is minimal. Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba add modest travel. Interstate projects quote mobilisation, equipment freight, and accommodation where required. Repeat clients on multi-site programmes often negotiate staged rates.
